About Me

Who Am I?

Hi, I'm Regine. I'm an avid technophile of all sorts. I live in the DC metro area. Taurean nature at heart. Lover of soccer and snowboarding. EDM & PLUR life. An ESFJ. Geeky and nerdy, but social and feminine. A software engineer by day and a bon vivant at night.

I have been told that I'm a rare breed of woman. I'm very extroverted and social, but I can talk tech, wear makeup, argue about Marvel characters, discuss fashion designers, and throw random trivia knowledge your way. I have a very quirky charisma that seems to captivate people, or so I've been told. I love not being who people want or expect me to be.

I love traveling. It's an expensive hobby but it enriches my soul. I haven't been everywhere but it's on my list. As they say "If traveling were free, you'd never see me".

I'm Filipino, so clearly growing up my parents wanted me to become a nurse lol. However, the sight of blood makes me collapse and that has not gone away, so entering another field only made sense.

I started tinkering with technology at a young age. I've always held a fascination with different aspects of technology. From graphic design, to creating websites, to building my own computer. This all lead me to study Computer Science at George Mason University. I absolutely love what I do and couldn't imagine myself doing anything different.

Some things don't always go as planned but I still love my life. Because if it weren't for all the events that have happened to me, I wouldn't be in a career I love, met the people I've met, traveled as much as I have, learned what I deserve and be able to tell the stories I tell.

Software

I've developed enterprise applications, web applications, and middleware; using frontend & backend.

Graphic Design

I am proficient with using Photoshop, creating logos, and other forms of graphic design.

DevOps

I've utilized cloud technologies, specifically AWS, and implemented CI/CD infrastructure.

My Skills

"A jack of all trades, and a master of none." This is a high level overview of my capabilities. Although, I think I'm a pretty fast learner, so I wouldn't pidgeon hole me to just these skills. I'm very versatile and adept at many things.
